Booking and timing
Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable for most local moves in Vallejo and the surrounding towns. End-of-month weekends fill up first, so a lease ending on the thirty-first is worth calling about as early as possible.
If you are in a bind because another crew fell through, reach out anyway. Openings show up on short notice more often than you would guess, and we will say plainly whether we can take the job.
Pricing questions
Local moves within Solano County are billed by the hour, based on crew size and truck size. Longer moves, whether that is Fairfield, Sacramento, or across into the East Bay, are priced by the weight of the load and the miles driven, with a written estimate before your date is confirmed.
The final weight-based figure comes from a certified scale reading of the loaded truck, so there is a real number behind it rather than a guess that only ever moves upward on delivery day.
Packing and materials
You can book full packing, partial packing for just the kitchen and fragile rooms, or handle it yourself and have us focus on loading. Materials are chosen to hold up in a truck that may sit closed for a few hours in North Bay sun or morning fog.
If you are packing yourself, we can drop off materials ahead of time and walk you through the basics that trip most people up.
Apartments and buildings
For apartment moves along Sonoma Boulevard, Tennessee Street, or the waterfront corridors, we confirm elevator reservations and any certificate-of-insurance requirements with your leasing office ahead of time so the truck is not turned away on the day.
Older walk-up buildings without an elevator still get a full plan for the stairwell, just built around carries rather than a lift schedule.
What if plans change
If your closing date shifts or you discover an extra room of boxes the morning of the move, tell the crew before anything gets loaded. We would rather adjust the plan on the spot than surprise you with it after the fact.
